So Proud Of You!

This week Nikolas received another report card at school and yet again, I was blown way.  He did so well.

My boy has always loved school, from the very first day.  Now three and half years later, he loves it just as much.  The funny thing is though .... he has discussed with us which university he wants to go to after school.  I think we have another planner on our hands!

He really does amaze me!  He puts so much effort into all that he does and it reflects into each and every report card.

Well done my boy!  We are proud of you. We wish you all the best in school and in life.

Moments Captured ..... Miles Apart {Photography Project}

Capturing parallel moments in our lives, 1200kms apart.

Wife + Mum to two + Photography + Lover of beautiful homely things = Cassie and Kate

Welcome to our little project, our wish to share moments in our lives.

Who Are We:
Creative souls who dream alot and share a massive passion for photography and our families.
We are both 30-something, organisational freaks (we love lists), lovers of all things photography and craft. We love pretty, creative, home-warming things.
As busy mums, we realise capturing the ordinary to the extraordinary is important. This project will help encourage and inspire each other to capture those moments, from the mundane to the marvellous.

Cassie  Kate

What Are We Doing:
Each week we will set a ‘theme’ and both photograph an image to capture the ‘same’ moment in our different worlds. Our views, our dreams, our children, our worlds.
Each week we will write a short story describing the image or theme, sharing a snippet of our lives.

Why We Are Doing This:
We have gotten to know each other pretty well, first meeting through our photography interests and them forming a friendship beyond that.
We are very ‘similar’ and lead seemingly parallel lives. And the more we get to know each other, the more we want to live closer and pop in for a wine and a giggle and some dreaming.
We are both curious creatures, and eager to ‘peer’ into each others lives and thought it would be nice to share with you too!

How We'll Do It:
Themes will be set each week, and may centre around current life events.
Each week we will post our images and a short blurb to accompany it on our respective blogs, here and on kate's blog!

I hope you enjoy following our journey and you may even find yourself inspired to take photos too.

Growing Up....

My heart already aches at the thought of my baby girl heading to prep next year even though it is more than 6 months away.

My crazy, fun and happy girl....

The girl who makes us laugh until our belly's hurt....

The girl who seeks an adventure everyday...

Our clever, beautiful, and lovable girl....

Who we know will make the most out of school too.

But that doesn't stop me from already missing her, before she has even gone.

My days will be so different without her around.

I wish I could make time stand still and keep her little forever.

Memories....

I often wonder what memories will remain with my kids long after they have grown up and they reminisce about their childhoods.

Which small snippets will be ingrained in their minds forever.

The world has definitely changed since I was a kid but one thing I want more than anything for my children is to have fond, loving memories of their childhood.

I want them to know what it's like to catch raindrops from the sky with their mouths..

To be a kid and not grow up faster than they need too..

To spend more time dreaming about what it's like to be an adult rather than wishing their life away and trying to be one..

I want them to be free to play, enjoy, love and laugh..

I want them to lay their heads on their pillows each night dreaming about what adventures they will have the next day..

Childhood passes by in the blink of an eye..

But the memories will last forever!
